It is a matter of immense pleasure for me that I have been blessed by the Almighty God to extend my body and soul services to this very fortunate and esteemed institution.I heartily welcome you  to this Swami Atmanand English Medium Model College  named after  the famous disciple of Vivekanand.I have joined this prestigious college on 5^th Nov. 2024 as the principal of this college. It is a matter of proud that this college came into existence in the old building of high court , the temple of justice.This building is an old and rich heritage of the city  which is completing its century in a few years and has witnessed the working of a number of important offices and institutions.

I must mention the objective for starting this institution. In order to educate students, especially the students coming from weaker sections of the society,  Chhattisgarh Government started Swami Atmanand English Medium  Schools all over the states.[read-more]It was the demand of parents that their wards have to go to other state for higher studies due to non-availibility of English medium institutions .For providing affordable quality education and generating skilled youth was another aim , hence to meet the growing demand for skilled people ,ten Swami Atmanand English Medium Model Colleges were started in the state as an initiative to help students enhance their generic skills.

The college is imparting education as per the National Education Policy with a pool of interdisciplinary courses and students have the liberty to select subjects of their own interest.The rich heritage of ancient and eternal Indian knowledge and thought is the guiding light of this policy.The activities of the college are run as per the prescribed courses and academic calendar of the affiliating university.Presently, B. A., B.Sc. (PCM), B. Sc. (C.Sc.), B.Sc. (Biology), B.Com., P.G.D.C.A courses are being run in the college. In near future some post-graduate courses and job-oriented courses are yet to be started .The college has well equipped laboratories for practicals , wi-fi facility,job-oriented courses, rich library with access to e-library and many more which are helpful in  all round personality development of the students.

Our dedicated faculty and diverse academic programs are designed to inspire critical thinking, creativity , a life long passion for learning and to face challenges in life. The college provides a platform where we not only focus on academic excellence but also encourage our students to participate in extra-curriculur activities, community service through NSS, Red –Cross and thus shape the future of students in multi-dimension.Guest lectures on various burning issues are conducted to make the students aware of their surroundings. A number of students and staff members excelled in different sports activities at inter-college and state-level in previous years.Our college is ragging –free, Strict action is taken against students who break the discipline of the college.

A separate unit “Women Redressal Cell “ has been formed where women and girls can register complain and can get their problems rectified.You have come to this institution with dreams and plans in your mind.To convert your dreams to reality, we assure you that we will give our best guidance and co-operation with all our available facilities and resources.Though we have proper plan and blueprint to take the college to new heights but academics with quality study is our top priority. We will not leave any stone unturned in pulling the college to commendable heights of success, growth and prosperity of the students.Your suggestions are valuable for us so that we can progress in the right direction.
